Make up - Lip halloween style

How to get the perfect VAMP lip for halloween

What to use

I have chosen two shades for this KATE MOSS for Rimmel in shade 04 and YVES ROCHER in shade 101 FRAMBOISE. As it is for halloween I do recommend to use a darker colour and a light to give the colour a contrast against each other. You can pick any colour you like thou .

You want to start by apply moisturiser then foundation and concealer on to the face, If I am wearing lipstick I do tend to cover my lips too, I find the lipstick has more of a staying power then.

I have decided to give the eye a smokey effect too, and added fake eyelashes. It is halloween and I believe its just one of the times of the year we girls can go OTT.

So with the base of the make up I then get the darker shade of lipstick and go around the outline, You can use a lip pencil, However I was rushed for time so lipstick it was. Do a rough outline on the bottom and top of the lip

The using a brush fill in the rest of the lip with the other lipstick shade, using a brush as we do want to blend the two shades together. This is so simple to do!

The finished result - Finish it off using a lipgloss

The VAMP look.

The camera isn't brilliant, but you get the general idea!

Some recent buys … OCTOBER

RECENT BUYS

Hello everyone! I have reached 250 followers!!

This is such a big deal for me as this started out as an online sort of journal. Never really put to much effort in to what I wrote just sort of rambled on about anything, However being sponsored and knowing people actually read my blog is given me more reason to blog more.

So enjoy some recent buys.

ColorSHOW - Maybelline NAILS

Arg, My love of buying nail varnish has not stopped. Being in the job I am I can only wear nude or natural colour nail varnish! It sucks..yes. I have literally had a french manicure on for a whole month. So changing it up I was having a nose around Boots store and saw some lovely sparkly colours. Right next to the sparkly nail counter there was a 3 for 2 offer. Ah tempted. So I ended up buying three, I did find the palest pink I could find an two lovely glitter polishes.

1. silver glitter - Light up        2. Pink - Peach smoothie     3.Pink glitter - Rose Chic

I used light up over peach smoothie, And its really a pretty colour, The closer to winter it gets the more I love everything sparkly! So all three nail varnishes It worked out about £6.00. I have never used nail varnishes from Maybelline so I will see how it lasts!

AUSSIE MIRACLE DRY SHAMPOO

I was gutted the new herbal essence dry shampoo was out of stock everywhere!! Like there must of been a sudden rush for people to buy the stuff. I thought I would try something new, However I am more that let down. Wheres my Batiste when you need it. I payed £3.00 for this, Used it once and then tried to use it again and nothing would come out and yet its full.

CRAP nozel, Don't like the smell and it didn't improve my hair after I hadn't washed it for a day. It didn't actually make any difference. I think this is the first negative review I have left, But its so shockingly terrible I will never purchase it again.

Mega instant my ass.

Silver necklace - Primark £2.50

I NEVER buy silver jewellery, or jewellery from Primark at all. In my eyes I would wear it once and it would break. So I rarely make any purchases from this shop. However on my hunt for hairbands, I walked past this necklace. It has a sort of contemporary design and it is different from the rest of my collection. And for only £2.50 If it broke it isn't a huge loss.

Silver and diamond earrings.

These where a little gift to myself from getting a new job, they are beautiful and shaped like a snowflake which I love. Makes me feel like I am wearing christmas earrings. I am not going to tell you the price but I did get a huge discount. Its sterling silver and 0.05ct diamond and they just sparkle.

Every girl needs diamond earrings, right?

REVIEW - BLACKHEAD KILLER

Blackhead killer - PEEL OFF MASK

I got sent a lovely little package from StyleLux . It contained five peel of masks, However once my twin got hold off it, That five turned to three. Three is still however enough to try and review.

This is a new type of face mask, the mask itself sucks out any horrible stuff out of the skin, including excess oil. Leaving a softer, cleansed skin.

So on Wednesday night the weather was horrible and rainy, I decided to put on my comfy clothes. Yes everyone has those 'comfy' clothes. For me it is an oversized tee shirt, joggers and hoodie. Such a good look! Well it is if I don't venture out my front door.

Let me start off with the packaging.

It isn't fantastic and it is not the most eye appealing product, It comes in a sachet form which is very easy to open. On the back of the product there are instructions in English, Dutch, french and other languages. This is helpful especially because the product is made in Denmark.

Moneys worth?

Yes, you get a lot of product in one sachet. Some brands can be very stingy that don't actually cover half the face, This does and more. You can buy five of these from the website for only£15.00

After I applied the product.

Very easy to apply to the face, It has a smooth texture that can easily be washed off. The great thing I like about this is the subtle smell. It is quite thick and gloopy, Is that a word?

Then I waited ten minutes.. And yes this is one hell of a look for me.

Then peel the mask off.

WOOOWZAH

It hurts, just a little. Why us girls go through a little pain to make ourselves look beautiful I will never know. I am all for pain in the name of beauty!

After a mild panic attack, about me putting the product to close to my eyes, It all came off reletivley easy.
It does say to use a ''delicious'' moisturiser  after the mask and I used my favourite.

L'Occitanes Shea butter Gentle moisturiser,

My face felt normal just a little softer. When I did wake up however my face was a lot clearer and felt sooooo smooth. So it really is worth the money after all.

GOOD RESULT!

You can buy them HERE.

ITS OCTOBER

 OCTOBER

Yes, it feels like I am a little late to the party, as they say! But yay :)  My favourite time of the year, It is just so beautiful with the trees and leaves and the christmas decorations coming in to stores eeeek.Like a kid in a candy store I have to think like the sensible adult I am and 'No Lauren you don't need another ornament' So I am looking forward to christmas, and the run up is even more exciting. I don't even mind the rain cold weather.

This is at I am enjoying so far about this very beautiful month

1. Cheltenham in the fall

I love cheltenham overall, It has great restaurants, bars, shopping and just a lovely atmosphere to it. So when I was about to go home walking up the prom in Cheltenham I had to take a picture. Plus it just makes me want to go costa buy a hot chocolate…Black forest gateau of course and wrap up in a scarf. I think I will be doing a lot of instagram pictures the next couple months.

 2. Limited edition cereals

Oh Tesco, how lovely that you have brought this out. Its a limited edition cereal for halloween and its cinnamon..gah… so scrummy. Recommend everyone to buy this and try it out.

3.Cheltenham food market

This comes to cheltenham every year, you have stalls from Italy, france and the more crazy food like zebra burgers, Which I did try last year and kangaroo burgers, Well there are so many different types of meat. Basically if you want to eat something bizarre go here! But most importantly it is only here in october another little run up to christmas that cheltenham does.

4. Days get shorter

And more time for me to do my nails, Im such a girl! But when its cold and raining outside I tend to have more pamper evenings light some candles play some music and just relax after work .

 5. HOT CHOCOLATE

Hetti asleep on my bed.naughty.

Yum, yum and yum. I love hot chocolate in this weather. Have to be so careful with this because I do work next door to starbucks, However I still am a loyal Costa fan, best hot chocolates ever! I think at work I will still stick to the highlights 40 calls drink. Being mighty good and everything

Go me!!

Saturday 4 October 2014

My morning ritual, at the moment.

How and what I use to wash my face

Now, I wish I was good and told you I do this every morning and every evening. However I don't, I sometimes go bed with make up on, when I am too tired too take it off. Another thing about what I use to clean my face with, They constantly change. It something looks nice or its on special offer I will tend to pick it up. I did post a blog post about my three favourite cleansers. Now those I do use the majority of the time.
But at the moment I have gotten into using L'Occitane! And yes I work for them but I just downright love the stuff.

Yes, I have my Simple. and dermalogica as well just because something I like to spice it up!

This is me right in the morning..uh oh.

Looking rather red, and my eyes are still messy. I have very stubborn make up.

THE ROUTINE

1. Cleanse cleanse and cleanse

This is the golden key of a routine, I use a hot flannel and wet the face round to the hairline and around the neck. Using L'Occitanes imortelle cleansing foam. Only need a pump full to clean the whole face. I also love the smell of this..mmhm

This product is like little foamy bits of heaven, rub it into the hands and apply to the face in circular motions. You can do two cleansers if you have a lot of make up, Remember cleansing is there to remove make up and any dead skin cells and any gunk.

I dont tend to put ANY product near my eyes as because they are quite sensitive they would get just irritated.

2. Tone and tone again

Okay well no need to tone again, Now the toners I use tend to be more water based, I feel like It is lighter for my skin. I apply using a cotton pad in circular motions around go over the face. All this will do is take off any cleanser left over or any make up missed, Its also great if you are putting moisturiser under foundation.

My Skin is looking pretty clear by now and soft, None of the products I use are heavy or greasy. Being very sensitive to products that are rich I only tend to stick with light products. My skins complexion is looking so much better, no redness! HOORAY'!

3. Serum, Oil, MOISTURISE

You can do any of the three above next, I however go straight for the moisturiser. Now finding a light product that is kind to the skin, that I could wear under make up, that won't be greasy well
I had a mission, And I found the perfect thing.

Good old dermalogica to the rescue, This is  such a hydrating and caring product, I have always loved this brand, With a matt finish to this product it helps when the heat is unbearable and the extra SPF15 is just an added bonus, Still looking after my skin in the hot days ahead!

This will only take me a good five minutes in the morning, After my face is dry I then go on to apply my make up for the day or if its bed time then I will just leave it like it is.

The finished look

My skin is clean and clear no dryness or greasiness, I recommend trying these products and seeing what you think. Or I would love to see some routines you guys have!
